| Campus
Ministry plays a vital role in the morals and values that are taught
to Andrean students each day. Though Andrean is a Catholic school,
Campus Ministry involves students of a variety of faiths and backgrounds.
These students are given many opportunities to explore firsthand the
Christian teachings that are part of the Andrean experience. |
| Mass
is celebrated at 7:25 a.m. on some school days in the Sisters' residence
Chapel. Once a month, a school Mass is offered to the Andrean Family
in the Main Gym. |
| Growth
of faith is at the heart of Andrean's mission. Students in all four
grade levels are required to attend a class retreat each year. These
spiritual enrichment opportunities not only allow students to become
better acquainted with their faiths, but they also help to make and
strengthen friendships that will last a lifetime. |
| Parents,
too, share in the spiritual life of school through, a Christmas Eve
Mass and the May Crowning Mass at the Andrean Grotto. |
| Andrean
also offers a Divorce Support Group as well as a Grief Support Program
for students who may need additional support and spiritual guidance. |
| Andrean
has always encouraged commitment to community
service. Each student is required to complete 8 hours on community
service each semester, many students choose to go above and beyond
to help those less fortunate. Whether volunteering for Toys for Tots,
working on the Thanksgiving Food Drive, working at soup kitchens,
helping with Halloween parties for the developmentally challenged,
or donating money to those in need, Andrean students learn that it
is necessary to live out the gift of their faith. |
Through
the work of the campus ministry we provide spiritual and human formation
for our students. The work of the Campus Ministry helps us to reach
beyond our excellent academic formation in order to provide a way
for our young students to grow in all aspects of their person
It is the goal of the Campus Ministry to assist students in becoming
mature and responsible adults. |
