Fr. Flahiff C.S.B., Superior General of the Basilian Order was responsible for assigning priests to Andrean when it was just in the planning stages in the late 50's. He was later consecrated Archbishop of Winnipeg and then elevated to the rank of Cardinal. The National Honor Society at Andrean was established through the efforts of Sr. Rose Mary SS.C.M. and Sr. Mariam Michael SS.C.M. and named the Archbishop Flahiff Chapter and later the Cardinal Flahiff Chapter in honor of the Basilian priest who helped get us started.
The National Honor Society recognizes and encourages scholarship, leadership, character, and service among its members. Membership is granted only to those students selected by the faculty community in each school. Junior and senior students with a GPA of 3.0 are invited to apply for membership.
